2012 - Year of the Dragon!

Once again, the Chinese New Year is quickly approaching. We wish everyone with the affinity and the destiny to receive this message, a joyous holiday, filled with good luck and all the fortune you desire!

In Chinese astrology every year is governed by a zodiac sign. Your personal zodiac sign is according to your birth year. Your luck is affected by the sign of the current year. If your personal sign does not have a favorable relationship with the sign of the current year, this can cause bad luck and problems during the year.

Each year Dari Rulai Temple holds a ceremony called the "Thousand Light Dharma Rite" where you can light a candle for yourself or a loved one for a wish for good luck in the New Year.

We also hold the “An-Tai-Sui Dharma Rite” to pacify problems caused by clashes between your zodiac sign and the coming year. The “An-Tai-Sui Dharma Rite” also helps promote a spiritually healthy body, a happy heart, an abundance of wealth and all and everything according to your will.

The coming year, the year of the Water Dragon, could be particularly difficult for you if you were born in the year of the Dragon, Ram/Goat, Dog, or Ox.

Dragon: 2000, 1988, 1976, 1964, 1952, 1940, 1928, 1916

Goat/Ram: 2003, 1991, 1979, 1967, 1955, 1943, 1931, 1919

Dog: 2006, 1994, 1982, 1970, 1958, 1946, 1934, 1922, 1910

Ox: 2009, 1997, 1985, 1973, 1961, 1949, 1937, 1925, 1913

The Dharma Rite ceremony will take place on January 22, the eve of the Chinese New Year, at Dari Rulai Temple. We invite you to come and be a part of the ceremony, to light a lamp for you and your loved ones, and to make 2012 a great year!

An-Tai-Sui & Thousand Light Dharma Rites:
January 22, 2012: 8pm-12 midnight

This is also the time of year to make charitable & virtuous "An-Tai-Sui" donations on behalf of yourself and your loved ones with a $32, $72, $108, $300, $600, $900 or greater offering to be included in this protective and life-enhancing Dharma Rite.

Those who were NOT born in the year of Dragon, Goat/Ram, Dog, or Ox can light a ‘Safe and Well, Asking for Wealth, Longevity, Great Merit and/or asking for Son/Grandson's career’ Lamps. The offering is a minimum of $108. Contact the Los Angeles temple staff for details.

Each business may also make a charitable and virtuous "An-Tai-Sui" contribution of $300, $600, $900, $1200, $1500, $1800, $3000, or more. The ceremony brings overflowing financial resources, each day money is flowing into your bank account; extinguishes all disasters, all suffering, and all difficulties. The business will enjoy successful litigations, have a promising future, and receive the continuous daily empowerment of the Dari Rulai Temple.

In addition to receiving the blessing and empowerment from MahaVairocana Dharma King Dechan Jueren's Dari Rulai Temple, we will also fax your name list to Harmony Palace (Yong He Gong) in Beijing and Wendu Temple in Qinghai Province, China, so that your "An Tai-Sui" ceremony will take place in several different temples at the same time.
